Why investigators flag it
Two arguments get built on this appearance, and they should be kept separate.
The weaker argument is sequencing-as-motive: that Carlson said something about foreign intelligence on a TPUSA stage in December 2024, and Kirk was dead by September 2025. Nine months is a long gap and a conference speech is not a threat to anyone. This does not stand on its own.
The stronger argument is about precedent and permission. AmFest 2024 establishes that by December 2024 Kirk was already willing to put a speaker on his main stage to talk about Epstein and foreign intelligence services — which undercuts any account of 2025 that treats Kirk's Israel-critical turn as sudden, out of character, or invented after the fact by commentators.
