Bannon: "We Are At War"
Steve Bannon has been an AmFest fixture across 2023–2025, including a 2024 close with a "Victory or Death!" call to action. At AmericaFest 2025, coverage in this investigation file places a December 19, 2025 appearance in which Bannon declared "We are at war" and described Charlie Kirk in maximal historic terms — circulating characterizations include potentially "the greatest American produced since the Revolution."
Exact wording should be checked against the primary livestream or TPUSA upload. What matters for this section is the function of the speech on the first AmFest without Kirk.
Function on the post-death stage
Bannon's lane at TPUSA events has long been mobilization rhetoric: existential stakes, civilizational conflict, and cadre energy for young activists. In December 2025 that lane collided with martyr framing:
- War language turns a homicide into a movement-wide conflict narrative — useful for fundraising and loyalty, dangerous if it short-circuits forensic investigation.
- Historic elevation of Kirk freezes him as icon inside the org that still books the stage, sells the merch, and runs the chapters.
- Placement on the same multi-day program as Carlson's AIPAC critique and Shapiro's discipline speech means attendees heard war, lobby critique, and purity policing as concurrent messages.
Continuity with the August 25 flyer
Master-file commentary on the August 25, 2025 flyer places Bannon below Carlson on the graphic Kirk's team released sixteen days before the killing. Bannon was therefore part of the pre-death sold program, not a post-death surprise booking. That undercuts any simple story that "only pro-Israel speakers were added after." It does not undercut stories about which messages were amplified by official channels after the fact — that requires a clip-boost audit (see Open Questions).
How investigators should use war rhetoric
- As atmosphere: War language shows how TPUSA's largest stage metabolized the assassination into identity and combat.
- As not-evidence: A pundit saying "we are at war" is not a confession, not a foreign-intel finding, and not ballistics.
- As comparison point: Compare Bannon 2024 "Victory or Death!" with Bannon 2025 "We are at war" — tonal continuity may be higher than rupture.

Interesting In This Area
- His Israel First framing named the real fight from the same stage.
- A clip-boost audit would show which segments official accounts promoted within 72 hours.
- The August 25 flyer already placed him below Carlson before Kirk died.
- The replica tent supplied the visual to match the war rhetoric.
Interesting In Other Areas
- The memorial timeline runs from notification through succession, honors and resignations.
- War Room is tracked separately as an influencer covering the case.
- One motive page argues whoever controls the stage steers a generation.
- A replacement figure reportedly appeared on Fox within one to four hours.

The method behind the whole section: a conference program is a published document, so who is allowed on stage can be checked year over year. It is the one motive-adjacent claim in this case that is falsifiable. Bookings prove messaging direction, never authorship of a shooting.
Read this"Go Max": Kirk's Instruction to Tucker
Megyn Kelly says she captured Kirk backstage telling Tucker Carlson to "go max" before the July 2025 TPUSA stage. Citizen investigators read it as permission to hit Israel and Epstein material without self-censoring for donors. A pep talk is not a proof chain.

Read thisThe Fight Over Tucker's Invitation
The load-bearing AmFest claim: that Kirk was pressed at an August 2025 donor weekend to rescind Tucker Carlson's invitation, refused, and lost a major donor. Every principal denies the confrontation on the record. The flyer three weeks later still shows Carlson.

War Room has covered the case continuously since September 2025, and Bannon himself is an AmFest fixture across 2023–2025. His brand is permanent emergency; read the coverage with that in mind.

The motive theory stated plainly: whoever controls the flagship conference stage steers what a national youth movement is allowed to hear about Israel and war. A coherent motive story, and explicitly not proof of authorship.

Interesting
- Nine months earlier the same stage hosted Carlson on Epstein and blackmail.
- The defense's own ATF examiner testified the jacket could not be matched to the rifle.
- It was the defense, not prosecutors, who called that ATF examiner.
