At AmericaFest 2025, TPUSA reportedly erected a replica of the "Prove Me Wrong" debate tent associated with the September 10, 2025 shooting at Utah Valley University. Attendance figures circulating for the conference are on the order of 30,000+.
What circulated
- Photos and clips of attendees lining up for selfies at the recreation.
- X accounts including @ProjectConstitu and @MJTruthUltra amplifying the installation as either tribute or exploitation.
- Critics calling it trauma reenactment, a "psyop," and donation-milking.
- Jokes that the replica was "missing the camera" or included a trash can inside the set as dark commentary on the crime scene.
- Mainstream/lifestyle coverage (users cite Reuters photography of families posing; People magazine coverage of the installation) framing the display as memorial tribute.
- Commentary naming student-loan advertiser Yrefy as a sponsor presence near the tent area — unverified here as a contractual fact; treat as a document ask.
Why it is investigable without being a foreign plot
A memorial that re-stages the death architecture is powerful narrative infrastructure:
- It freezes Kirk as a martyr icon inside the same organization that still books the main-stage Israel line and sells next year's tickets.
- It converts the UVU crime scene into a pilgrimage prop — emotionally effective for recruiting and fundraising.
- Ordinary grief memorials and donor-floor sponsorships also explain tent replicas without any state actor.
