The Fight Over Tucker's Invitation

This is the load-bearing AmFest claim in the whole case: that Tucker Carlson's invitation to AmericaFest became the specific thing Charlie Kirk was pressured to give up, that he refused, and that the refusal cost him a major donor weeks before he was killed. Every element below is an attributed allegation, several are denied on the record, and none of it establishes that any person named here had any knowledge of or involvement in a crime.

The allegation

Per reporting attributed to Max Blumenthal's Grayzone (published September 15, 2025, citing five sources with "intimate knowledge" plus attendees) and amplified by Candace Owens:

  • At a Bridgehampton donor weekend on August 4–5, 2025, a gathering that began on another subject "went off the rails" when Bill Ackman confronted Kirk over his Israel criticism and over platforming critics like Carlson.
  • One anonymous source says Kirk was demanded to rescind Tucker Carlson's AmFest invitation.
  • An attendee described Kirk afterward as "hammered," "horrified," and worried about "blackmail."
  • Accounts describe a presented list of perceived offenses, pressure to take a funding commitment, and pressure to make an Israel trip.
  • An "unknown British woman" — later identified as Natasha Hausdorff — allegedly screamed at Kirk.

Kirk's own reported words

The strongest version of this claim does not come from a journalist. It comes from private texts Owens publicized, whose authenticity was discussed in mainstream commentary with TPUSA spokesman Andrew Kolvet. In them, Kirk reportedly wrote roughly 48 hours before September 10 that donor pressure was "leaving me no choice but to leave the pro-Israel cause," and that he had lost a major donor after refusing to cancel Tucker Carlson.

That second clause is the entire AmFest thesis in Kirk's own reported voice: the invitation was the sticking point, and he did not give it up.

A separate account holds that two days before the assassination Kirk lost a major donor over insisting on platforming both Carlson and Owens.

The denials and the counter-account

This is contested, and the contest is on the record:

  • Bill Ackman's later account: he hosted roughly 35 influencers at a Bridgehampton hotel, Kirk initiated the convening, Ackman missed the Israel session, there was "no angry confrontation," and "at no time" was Kirk threatened. Ackman has called threat claims false.
  • Natasha Hausdorff categorically denies screaming at Kirk or any such intervention, calling the accusation "categorically untrue."
  • Seth Dillon said publicly on September 16 that there was "no angry confrontation"; under later questioning by Carrie Prejean Boller he is reported to have acknowledged a "heated and at times spirited debate." Prejean confronted him publicly — "You were at the Hamptons and you were bullying Charlie Kirk" — and Dillon disputes the bullying framing.
  • No public filing corroborates blackmail or threats.
  • Even the date is disputed: the master file hedges "Aug 4th (or 5th–6th)," and some notes float September 9 as the intervention date instead.

The complete side-by-side of competing accounts is on Hamptons Intervention Meeting.

The Netanyahu call

Attached to the same window: master-file and anonymous-donor tracks report that Benjamin Netanyahu telephoned Kirk, offered TPUSA funding, and pressed an Israel trip, and that Kirk declined. An anonymous donor account puts $150 million on the offer; another describes Ackman as urging Kirk to "take the cash and fall in line." In post-shooting podcast appearances Netanyahu publicly stated he had called Kirk weeks earlier and invited him to Israel — confirmation of contact, not of a funding transcript. No readout or transcript is public and the figure remains unverified. See Israel's Prime Minister.

Why the flyer matters here

The single piece of documentary evidence that bears on this dispute is not testimony. It is the August 25, 2025 AmFest flyer — released three weeks after the Hamptons weekend, showing Carlson prominently placed. If a demand to rescind the invitation was made in early August, the flyer is contemporaneous public evidence that it was not honoured. That is consistent with Kirk's reported texts and it does not depend on anyone's recollection of a hotel conversation.

What this does and does not prove

Does: it establishes a coherent, dated, partially documented motive story — that a conference booking became a proxy for a policy fight, and that Kirk chose the booking over the money.

Does not: it does not identify who fired a shot. Donors conditioning support on speaker choices is legal pressure exercised legally, and it happens at every large political nonprofit in the country. A person can lose a donor in August and be murdered in September by someone entirely unconnected to either. Former NCTC director Joe Kent has said on the record that Kirk's disputes with pro-Israel donors were among the unexplored foreign-nexus lead areas his center was ordered to drop once a suspect was in custody — which is a statement that the thread was never worked, not a statement about what it contains.
