Bonhoeffer and Martyr Rhetoric

The Lance Wallnau interview and reaction ecosystem (including "raise up a thousand martyrs" / Bonhoeffer framing) is heavily clipped under Charlie on His Own Death videos. After September 10, viewers re-hear those lines as foresight. The rhetoric only became notorious because Charlie Kirk was in fact assassinated weeks later at Utah Valley University, and the cause-of-death record is still contested.

Competing readings

  1. Foreshadowing — he knew a hit was plausible; private kill-me texts match.
  2. Genre — Christian activist speech often invokes martyrdom without specific threat intel.
  3. Selective editing — reaction channels over-weight seconds of a long interview.

Pair with the private revolution text to Candace ("not sure I will live to see the end of this revolution") without treating either as a suicide note or a confession by third parties.
