The claim
The allegation, circulated by citizen investigators, is that the turnover was too neatly timed to be coincidental. A new judge took the bench weeks before the shooting and ended up presiding over the accused's case. The head of the FBI's Salt Lake City field office was replaced in the same window, and the new agent led the first press conference.
