@alexboge is the site's most-cited physics skeptic of the exploding-microphone theory — the account whose July 2026 threads formalized the rifle-camp counterargument across the Mic and Medical sections.   • July 9, 2026 — Detailed debunk: a shaped charge needs standoff distance and rigid fixation; a ~32 g RØDE Wireless Pro clipped to fabric would rocket away under Newton's third law rather than drive a stable jet.   • Steelmanned and rejected the proponent "primer charge" fix (a second explosion lifting the mic to create standoff) as an "epicycle" — an invisible event invented to rescue the theory.
