Crime Scene Handling

This page covers the reported handling of the Charlie Kirk crime scene — specifically the claim that the UVU courtyard where he was shot was paved over within days of the September 10, 2025 event. The reporting is attributed throughout, and the official explanations are included.

Charlie Kirk was assassinated in that courtyard on September 10, 2025, and the ground he was standing on is itself evidence — which is why the handling of the cause-of-death record and the handling of the scene are read together by independent investigators.

The Reported Paving-Over

According to @ShadowofEzra and compiled notes, the courtyard where Kirk was shot was reportedly paved over within days. A company named Hardscape Specialties LLC is named as performing the UVU tent-area paving. Per the posts, that company was reportedly dormant for about 20 years and revived in February 2025.

The posts name the owner as Michael Powell (described in the post as a Utah Attorney General special agent) and a co-owner as Burton Romrell (described as former UVU operations staff). These descriptions are reported claims; no wrongdoing is asserted against either named person.

The Reported Timeline of the Work

Per the same compiled notes, a work order was reportedly issued two days after the shooting, and the paving reportedly started four days after the assassination. The posts claim there was no public bidding, that the job was rushed, and that the crew reportedly worked overnight and on a Sunday.

Separately, Daniel Merrell (Hardscape Utah) reportedly said he installed pavers on 9/14/25 and was "called by … men who work for the state of Utah." That is presented as his reported statement.

A separate online thread (attributed in the notes to @Ammermazing and others) claims that Daniel Merrell was the subject of Google searches from Israeli IP addresses in the summer before the shooting — reportedly in the same window that searches from D.C. and Israeli IPs allegedly targeted "Timpanogos Regional Hospital" (where Kirk was taken) and Deirdre Amaro, described as the new Utah state medical examiner who performed the autopsy. The same poster expressly states he is "not accusing Daniel Merrell of anything nefarious" and assumes Merrell "was just doing what was asked of him." This is an unverified online claim about search-trend data, recorded here with that caveat and asserting no wrongdoing by Merrell or any named person.

A related claim in the master file holds that Governor Spencer Cox ordered the crime scene torn up and paved over. That is an attributed allegation, not an established fact; Cox is a living public official and no wrongdoing is asserted here.

The Official and Counter Explanations

UVU reportedly claimed the work was prescheduled. The Associated Press reported that the UVU president declined to give specifics, citing a pending external review. A separate rumor blaming the suspect's father's company reportedly found no credible link.

These official and counter explanations are included so the page does not present the speed and timing as proof of anything. The reported facts raise questions about why a crime scene would be resurfaced so quickly; they are not, on this record, evidence of a crime by any named person.

Preliminary Hearing Watch-Items (Attributed)

For Crime Scene Handling: July 2026 multi-day preliminary hearing coverage (Project Constitution, danksterintel, War Room, etc.) highlighted: rifle photo exhibits and safety/scope debates; roommate confession interview video; family counsel Joseph Neiman's push for a prompt probable-cause decision; defense focus on ballistics inconclusiveness language; and continued public anger over courtyard paving after the lead investigator reportedly learned of it from news.

Robinson is charged, not convicted. Gag orders and closed-hearing reports constrain primary sourcing — prefer filings and on-record testimony clips over influencer paraphrase when possible.

Commentator coverage: Citizen journalist Ian Carroll has repeatedly questioned the rapid paving of the UVU courtyard in his public commentary, including appearances with Jimmy Dore, arguing according to his posts that resurfacing a crime scene within days deserves formal explanation — framed as his commentary, not a finding of wrongdoing by anyone involved.
