Doctors
This page collects what is known and what is merely claimed about the doctors and surgeons connected to Charlie Kirk's treatment and death at Timpanogos Regional Hospital in Orem, Utah. None of the individuals named below is accused of any wrongdoing — the claims here concern who searched for them and second-hand reporting, not their conduct.
The Treating Surgeon
Charlie Kirk was transported from Utah Valley University to Timpanogos Regional Hospital after being shot on September 10, 2025. According to reporting, the treating surgeon emerged from the operating room after roughly 20-30 minutes and pronounced Charlie deceased at approximately 1:03 PM MT.
A claim circulated among citizen investigators that Andrew Zenger (Andrew James Zenger) was "the doctor that treated Charlie." This claim is false. Zenger is the hospital's CEO — an administrator with no medical degree or surgical training — and he did not treat Charlie Kirk. The CEO and the treating surgeon were two different people, and the treating physician remains publicly unnamed. Zenger's role as hospital CEO, and the timeline questions around it, is covered on the Hospital Leader page.
Status: Alive (presumed; no information indicates otherwise).
The "Absolute Miracle" Claim — Unverified
TPUSA-affiliated accounts publicly claimed that the treating doctor said the bullet "did not exit" and described the wound as an "absolute miracle."
This site does not state as fact that any doctor said this. According to TPUSA-affiliated accounts and second-hand reporting, the treating surgeon reportedly described the wound as an "absolute miracle" and said the bullet did not exit — this site cannot confirm any doctor made such a statement, and it is presented only as an unverified, second-hand claim.
The "bullet did not exit" claim is examined in depth on the Hospital People & Bullet Claims page.
Seven Surgeons Reportedly Searched
Investigation notes from citizen investigators allege that seven emergency surgeons associated with the hospital were searched online from Israeli IP addresses around July 14-30, 2025. These are unverified claims, and none of the surgeons listed is accused of any wrongdoing — the allegation concerns who reportedly searched for their names, not anything the doctors did.
| Surgeon | Reported Search Date (2025) |
|---|---|
| Richard Rasmussen | July 14 |
| Steven Neilman | July 18 |
| Lee Patterson | July 19 |
| Brian Gill | July 22 |
| Robert Patterson MD | July 23-24 |
| William Pugh | July 30 |
| Lee Trotter | Date unspecified |
X posts allege these search patterns; this site cannot independently confirm them. Status (all seven): Alive (presumed). Related claims about Israeli search activity are discussed under Israeli Search Patterns (Claims).
Russell Kennington — "Fake Doctor" Claim
Separately, some X posts describe a man named Russell Kennington as reportedly arrested at the crime scene. This is a tangential, unverified claim that is distinct from the treating-physician material above. It is reproduced here only as a reported allegation; this site cannot confirm it, and Kennington is not accused here of any crime.
Status: Alive (presumed).
No Publicly Named Treating Physicians
A recurring point raised by citizen investigators (for example, @bren45000) is that no doctor or nurse who treated Charlie Kirk has been publicly named or confirmed in mainstream or official releases. Posts repeatedly challenge readers to "name even ONE doctor or nurse who treated Charlie Kirk at the hospital." Some frame this as suspicious; others note that the privacy of individual clinicians in an active homicide case, and standard hospital practice, can fully account for the absence of named names.
This is presented as an open question about transparency, not evidence of wrongdoing. The point connects to the bullet-claim debate: commentators argue that an identified treating physician on the record could resolve whether the "did not exit" / "absolute miracle" characterization (see Hospital People & Bullet Claims) was ever actually a doctor's statement. A claim that a treating surgeon left the room to make a phone call is discussed separately on Doctor DC Phone Call.
Caveats
- The named doctors and surgeons are presumed living and are not accused of any wrongdoing on this site.
- The "absolute miracle" / "bullet did not exit" statement is an unverified, second-hand claim attributed to TPUSA-affiliated accounts — not a confirmed quote from any physician.
- The "seven surgeons searched from Israeli IPs" list and the "fake doctor" claim originate in citizen-investigator notes and X posts and have not been independently verified.
