The September 8 Donor Group Chat

This is the strongest-sourced message set in the entire investigation. Unlike the "kill me" messages, these were released as screenshots, reported by mainstream outlets, and publicly acknowledged as genuine by TPUSA's own spokesman.

What was released

Candace Owens published messages from a nine-person group chat dated September 8, 2025 — two days before Charlie Kirk's death. Reporting describes the chat as running on WhatsApp and as including donors and figures in Kirk's orbit. The lines most widely quoted are:

"Just lost another huge Jewish donor. $2 million a year because we won't cancel Tucker."

"Jewish donors play into all the stereotypes. I cannot and will not be bullied like this. Leaving me no choice but to leave the pro-Israel cause."

Why the authentication matters

TPUSA spokesman Andrew Kolvet has publicly confirmed the donor-related texts as genuine. That confirmation is what separates this page from every other page in this section. It means the following are not in dispute:

  • Kirk was under financial pressure from donors in the days before his death.
  • The pressure was tied to his refusal to cancel Tucker Carlson.
  • He described himself as being pushed toward stepping back from the pro-Israel cause.

What is not established by these messages is any threat of violence. The chat is about money and platform decisions. The escalation to "they're going to kill me" (KM-09) is reported for the next day and is documented separately on September 9 — "They Are Going To Kill Me".

What this does and does not prove

It proves motive-adjacent context: a well-funded coalition was reportedly withdrawing support, and Kirk was reportedly considering a public break. It does not prove that any donor, organization, or country had anything to do with his death. Donors withdrawing funding over a booking dispute is ordinary politics. No named donor is accused here of anything, and none has been charged.

The chain that investigators draw — donor pressure on September 8, fear-of-death messages on September 9, assassination on September 10 — is a timeline, not a causal finding. Two of its three links are far better documented than the middle one.

Open questions

  1. Have the full, unredacted screenshots of the nine-person chat been published anywhere?
  2. Who were the other eight participants, and has any of them spoken publicly?
  3. Which donor is referenced in the "$2 million a year" line, and has that person responded?
  4. Does the same chat contain any of the fear-of-death language reported for September 9?

Best understanding of when this happened

Best understanding: authenticated donor WhatsApp about leaving the pro-Israel cause falls in the ~48 hours before UVU, with packaging on SEPT 8 and later SEPT 9 re-dating claims. Not a kill-me string.

Date range (working model): SEPT 7–10 · ~48h WhatsApp · SEPT 8 vs SEPT 9 re-dating

The chart below is not a government finding. Bar height is relative likelihood from public claims. Domain is trimmed to non-trivial likelihood.

Commentator coverage: Citizen journalist Ian Carroll has questioned who the other participants in the nine-person chat were and what was discussed at the reported Hamptons donor meeting, while stressing according to his posts that donor friction raises "a perfectly reasonable question to ask" and does not establish that any donor or country was involved in Kirk's death.
