50. France or another foreign-service theory
Nothing on this page claims as fact that France, its president, the French Foreign Legion, any French official, or any other government or service ordered, took part in, or knew of Charlie Kirk's death. The French-source claims are Candace Owens' own public account from an anonymous source and are uncorroborated. Tyler Robinson is charged, not convicted, and presumed innocent.
The issue in plain words
In late 2025 and into 2026, Candace Owens said a person she described as a high-ranking French government employee contacted her. According to Owens, that source said a plot against her own life had been authorized, and that Charlie Kirk's killer trained with a French Foreign Legion brigade. She has said she published this in case something happens to her. The source is anonymous, and no document has been released. Other foreign-service threads exist too. The site tracks an Egyptian-registered jet, SU-BTT, reported flying into Provo from France on September 4, 2025 and leaving the day of the killing, and a halted U.S. inquiry into foreign involvement. The fed-slop side uses the France claim in particular to dismiss the whole independent investigation.
Citizen investigators keep foreign-service hypotheses secondary to three physical files: the Panguitch receipt, the 6:25 PM custody clock, and the missing shot tape. Mocking a country name answers none of those.

The fed slop side, in full
Naming a foreign government as behind a killing is a grave claim, and it needs evidence: documents, witnesses, money, orders. Owens offered an unnamed source. A spokesperson for France's Ministry of Armed Forces told The Cube that Robinson was never a member of the Foreign Legion: "If he did not serve in an American military unit, he could not have been trained by the French Foreign Legion." The same ministry said there was no Foreign Legion training at Camp Ripley in Minnesota between August 25 and September 10, 2025, and that a California exercise with U.S. Marines ended on August 25.
Critics note the cast of the story has changed over time, from Israel to Egypt to France, and they ask for the versions to be reconciled. HonestReporting and official-side commentators treat the country-name rotation as the tell: a claim that keeps changing its suspects is a sign of content built for an audience. On this view it discredits the people repeating it, and it is offered as a reason to stop asking about anything else — the receipt, the clock, the tape included.
What citizen investigators say
Investigators largely agree that the France claim is not proven, and this site says so plainly on its Candace Owens threat claims page: no named source, no document, no independent confirmation. Owens has said the source described a $1.5 million plot, a small team in the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group, and one Israeli on an assassination squad, and that she was told Kirk's assassin trained with the Legion's 13th Brigade. She has also said French legionnaires were on the ground at UVU. None of that has been corroborated in public. France has denied Robinson was in the Legion. Investigators do not treat a denial of Robinson's membership as a denial that anyone with Legion training was on campus; they also do not treat it as proof. It is an uncorroborated lead.
Their point is that the case against the official account does not rest on France, or on any foreign theory at all.
It rests, they say, on physical and timing gaps any reader can check.
The receipt. Restaurant staff at Cowboy's Smokehouse in Panguitch, about 209 miles from Orem, say they served the accused dinner the night of September 10. A photographed check is ordered at 8:55 p.m. and paid at 9:47 p.m. That ticket cannot coexist with the Orem-at-9:00 p.m. text story. The chain is Panguitch breaks the evening.
The clock. A defense filing cites a video showing Robinson read his Miranda rights at 6:25 p.m. on September 11, while the Discord "confession" traffic comes later. If he was in custody with his phone seized, he did not type it. The chain is he could not have sent the Discord confession.
The missing shot tape. No public video shows anyone aiming or firing from the roof. Prosecutors told a court that surveillance shows him taking the shot. The public still has not seen a muzzle flash. Investigators conclude the fatal event was an explosive at the microphone, which is why a rooftop .30-06 does not have to be filmed firing: on their reading, it did not do the killing. Foreign-service ideas stay on the list as hypotheses to test, below those three. The Egyptian-jet thread — SU-BTT and related tails at Provo from September 4 through the morning of the 10th — is a logistics file, not a country-name. The halted NCTC foreign-nexus inquiry is the U.S. government's own unfinished look at "government or foreigners themselves," in Joe Kent's phrasing. Geopolitical intel-service theories collects the set. Investigators say mocking "France" is a way to avoid producing the receipt digits, the 6:25 tape, and the firing video.
When this fight ran
- December 1–8, 2025. Owens' episode on the French source. Ministry denial on Robinson and the Legion. Owens asks publicly whether anyone who trained with the Legion was on the ground at UVU on September 10. She notes Kash Patel's non-answer when asked about France.
- January 2026. Owens doubles down: legionnaires involved, they did not act alone. Official-side commentators treat it as the moment the investigation became content.
- March 30, 2026. Owens posts that Kirk's murder was a ritualistic killing and that French Foreign Legion troops were on the ground. The quote is used for months afterward as the official-side exhibit that independent investigators are unserious.
- Ongoing. The receipt, the 6:25 clock, and the missing shot tape do not move with the country name. Investigators keep repeating that ranking.
Why it matters for Tyler Robinson
If the loudest foreign claim is used to wave away every question, the concrete facts that point away from Robinson get thrown out with it. Keeping the foreign theories in their place, as open hypotheses ranked below the physical file, protects those facts from being dismissed by association. Robinson is the charged defendant in a capital case. He has entered no guilty plea. What would settle it
- Any document supporting the French-source account: a record, a payment, a communication.
- A formal French government response to the specific claims, published in full, including whether any Legion-trained personnel were in Utah on September 10.
- Flight manifests and ground-handling records for SU-BTT's Provo stay.
- The halted NCTC records, which would show whether any foreign lead, French or otherwise, was examined.
- Public release of the Panguitch card last-four comparison, the 6:25 Miranda video, and any tape that actually shows a shot.
