Butch Hibbs

Disclaimer: Inclusion on this page does not imply that this individual had knowledge of, participated in, or committed any illegal or immoral act. This page documents their publicly known connection to the events of September 10, 2025 for investigative reference only.

Living Person Notice: Butch Hibbs is a living person. Online threads have discussed "cleanup crew" theories and pocket objects at the event. This page reports those claims with attribution only. We do not assert that Hibbs knew of any attack in advance, planted any device, or participated in evidence destruction.

Cleanup-crew commentary drew attention because the courtyard where Charlie Kirk was killed was reportedly washed down quickly — a point developed in the cover-up section.

Investigative Value

Butch Hibbs is listed in Query 6 research among witnesses tied to aftermath and response discussions at the September 10, 2025 UVU event — grouped with Jason Behunin and Phillip Goldsberry Jr. in "cleanup-crew" commentary threads. The master file emphasizes these figures as witnesses to aftermath, not accused participants.

Hibbs also appears in pre-event photos near Charlie Kirk. Investigation-file notes describe him as the brother of Pastor Jack Hibbs and a Heber City, Utah resident with long drone-industry experience — background context only, not proof of wrongdoing. Any sworn testimony on what Hibbs saw during response and tent-area activity could intersect Tent, Mic — Exploding Mic Theory, and Witnesses timelines.

According to X.com research (Query 6, peopleglyph) and the master file:

  • Hibbs appears in cleanup-crew conspiracy discussions alongside Behunin and Goldsberry — framed as witnesses, not defendants.
  • Photos show Hibbs near Kirk before the event in the courtyard area.
  • Some posts allege a square pocket object resembled a Rode Wireless GO II mic (~2×2") — unverified visual speculation only. Per the exploding-mic theory write-up, photographs before Kirk took the stage on September 10 reportedly show Hibbs in a checkered shirt with a square object in his front-right pocket, while photos taken after the shooting appear to show the pocket empty — an observation offered as an open question, not proof of anything.
  • He is distinct from TPUSA AV lead Terryl Farnsworth but appears in overlapping Videos and cameras analyses.

The Heber City / Flight Thread (Attributed Claims Only)

The exploding-mic theory material in the investigation file adds background that is speculative and unverified:

  • Hibbs reportedly lives in Heber City, Utah and is described in the file as having decades of drone-industry experience.
  • The theory notes a claimed flight roughly sixteen days before the event and says "there is no recorded return flight to Heber City" — the write-up itself speculates that, if Hibbs had been involved in collecting devices, flying without them "would make sense given the security risks."

This is a theory-layer narrative, expressly hedged with "if" in the source. No accusation is adopted here. Butch Hibbs has not been charged with or accused in court of any crime, and drone expertise, family ties, and travel are lawful and prove nothing about the shooting.

Public Commentary (Attributed Claims Only)

Viral threads have asked whether two different people named "Butch Hibbs" appeared at UVU, whether backstage access came through family connections, and whether drone expertise implies operational involvement. No such allegation is adopted on this page. See Possible Distraction People for how witness-adjacent names attract speculative framing.

We document commentary because it circulated publicly and because FBI 302 sets, tent teardown logs, and eyewitness mobile video could confirm or refute response timelines — not because roster placement implies guilt.

July 2026 X resurfacing (example)

On or about July 10, 2026, X user @martinez_j7902 posted photos with the claim that Hibbs was "there with Kirk," that a square pocket object "dims match Rode Wireless," and asked "Maybe the Bomb?" — pure unverified visual speculation. This site records the claim's existence for completeness and rejects converting it into a finding. Pocket geometry guesses and "two Butch Hibbs" threads remain unproven online commentary.

Laws (Charlie Kirk)

  • FBI 302 interview reports for the cleanup-crew witnesses and tent and stage teardown logs and records of witnesses asked to delete video are things that the Charlie Kirk Investigation Laws may result in powerful truths coming out that aren't out yet.

Interesting In This Area

  • Blake Haruff carried Charlie out and had significant blood on his clothing.
  • Dan Merrell paved the courtyard four days later, on a Sunday.
  • Burton Romrell co-owns the company named in that paving commentary.
  • Anthony West sat on the AV roster that rigged and routed the microphone.

The RØDE transmitter was reportedly worn under Kirk's shirt, magnetically clasped through the fabric. That one detail is the precondition every contact-device theory needs — and it is also routine professional audio practice.
