Living Person Notice: Marjorie Taylor Greene is a living person. This page documents her own public statements, with attribution. We do not assert wrongdoing by her or by anyone she mentions.
Her stated doubts go directly to the central dispute on this site — how Charlie Kirk was actually killed — which is set out in the explosive-device analysis.
Investigative Value
Marjorie Taylor Greene is a former U.S. Representative from Georgia and one of the most widely known figures in national conservative politics. Her significance to this investigation is simple: she is a mainstream elected-official voice publicly stating, on camera, that she does not accept the traditional narrative of the Charlie Kirk assassination. In an interview clip posted to X on August 3, 2026 by @SenseReceptor, she says she is "very much compelled by the lapel-mic stories," cites her personal experience shooting a .30-06, and calls the behavior of the security team collecting equipment and the paving of the scene "very questionable."
She stops short of endorsing any specific theory, repeatedly noting she was not an eyewitness and is not in the courtroom. Her statement matters because it moves the questioning of the official account from independent commentators into the realm of nationally known political figures.

What She Said
From the interview clip (posted August 3, 2026), in her own words:
- "I am very much compelled by the lapel-mic stories... I'm also a gun owner, and I've shot a .30-06 multiple times, and I know the damage that that bullet does. And so it's hard for me to go along with the traditional narrative."
- "I think there's more there, and I think the investigation seems to have been held back, and I don't think we have the full story."
- "There's just a lot there that's very questionable — the way his team reacted so quickly, pulling out SD cards, just going around collecting so much equipment and evidence as Charlie Kirk is bleeding out, and then paving over the area literally two days later."
- "You won't find me on social media debating these things. Because guess what? I wasn't at the crime scene. I wasn't there. I wasn't an eyewitness. I'm not in the courtroom."
- "So I'm not saying that I'm an authority on the matter, but I do question a lot of things, and I think it'd be ridiculous for anyone to not question at this point. Where we are in our history, to not question things is — I would consider that unintelligent."
She also states that she thinks Tyler Robinson "is involved in some sort of way."
The Counter-View in the Same Clip
The second speaker in the interview argues the opposite position: that the conservative movement is split, that "America First" voices are making a mistake by questioning the narrative, that the trial evidence will likely be "pretty irrefutable," and that skeptics risk being "discredited in such a tremendous way." Greene responds that she has not waded into the public debate but maintains that the questions are legitimate. Both views are presented in the video below.
Why Her Points Track This Investigation
Each specific item Greene raises corresponds to an area documented on this site:
- The lapel-mic stories → the exploding microphone theory
- The .30-06 damage question → ballistics and the bullet and Proof Not Tyler
- SD cards pulled and equipment collected as Charlie bled out → cover-up evidence and suspicious events
- Paving over the area two days later → the narrative and scene handling
- "The investigation seems to have been held back" → theories and US intelligence questions

But I will — I will be honest with you. Um, I very much think Thomas Crooks — not Thomas Crooks, I'm sorry — Tyler Robinson, getting the two different ones mixed up. Tyler Robinson, of course, I think, is involved in some sort of way, obviously. But I am very much compelled by the lapel mic stories. I'm also a gun owner, and I've shot a .30-06 multiple times, and I know the damage that that bullet does. And, um, so it's hard for me to go along with the traditional narrative. And I also — I just — I think there's more there, and I think the investigation seems to have been held back, and I don't think we have the full story.
[Interviewer:] Understood. I just want to kind of, I guess, make a point on that to close out all of this. And I'm not asking you to agree, but I just — I feel like I need to say it. As we in the conservative movement are divided on just about everything these days, and we're divided on this — we're divided on Charlie Kirk, it seems — and I'm generalizing here, it seems like the split is happening, you know, MAGA / America First. I think MAGA is not really objecting to the narrative of what we're being told about Charlie's murder. America First is asking a lot of questions and expressing a great deal of skepticism. I want to say this because I want people to understand that I'm very much my own person. I think America First is making a mistake here. And the reason why I want to express this is because the trial is — well, unless he takes a plea — in all likelihood, I hope he goes to trial, because I hope as much evidence comes out as possible.
[Greene:] Should all be public. Yeah, yeah.
[Interviewer:] And I think that when we see the evidence, I believe it's going to be pretty irrefutable exactly what happened, and I don't think it's going to be what a lot of people on the America First side think that it is. And my concern is that we have a lot of energy right now and a lot of momentum, I believe, especially going into '27 and going into '28, to possibly create something new and build some real change in this country that is sorely needed. And I would hate to see some of the best voices that we have right now be discredited in such a tremendous way. And so I would like to encourage people to be thoughtful about that, because — again, not asking you to agree — but in my opinion, this is one that I think a lot of people are going to get wrong, and I think it could have some far-reaching consequences about people's credibility.
[Greene:] Yeah, I just haven't waded into it. However, there's just a lot there that's very questionable — the way his team reacted so quickly, pulling out SD cards, just going around collecting so much equipment and evidence as Charlie Kirk is bleeding out. Um, and then paving over the area literally two days later. There's just a lot of —
[Interviewer:] You have opinions? Come on.
[Greene:] I do. They're questionable. Yeah, yeah, sure. But I'm not on social — you won't find me on social media debating these things.
[Interviewer:] Understood.
[Greene:] Because guess what? I wasn't at the crime scene. I wasn't there. I wasn't an eyewitness. I'm not in the courtroom. So I'm not saying that I'm an authority on the matter, but I do question a lot of things. And I think it'd be ridiculous for anyone to not question at this point. Where we are in our history, to not question things is — I would consider that unintelligent.
