What This Image Shows

A capture of a typed public statement issued by the owner of the aircraft, answering the claims circulating about N888KG.

The statement reads: "Yesterday, at approximately 1:20 pm MT a private aircraft owned by one of our companies, with tail # N888KG, departed the Provo Airport (PVU) for Page, AZ, pursuant to a prescheduled flight plan. Occupants at take-off included two pilots and no passengers. N888KG arrived at the Page, AZ Airport (PGA) at approximately 1:55 pm MT, 12:55 pm local time. Upon arrival, I, Derek Maxfield, boarded N888KG, along with 7 additional passengers for the return trip to PVU. N888KG departed PGA at approximately 1:40 pm local time (2:40 pm..."

This is the single most important document in the N888KG thread, and it cuts directly against the theory built on it. The owner states on the record that the flight was pre-scheduled, that it carried no passengers outbound, and that it flew to Page to collect him and seven others -- an account that, if accurate, explains the southbound leg, the destination near Page, and the return to Provo without any covert element. Note also that the times given are earlier than the 7:12 PM figure asserted in the tracking posts, which is a discrepancy that has not been reconciled in public.

The statement is the owner's own account and has not been independently verified, but it is a direct response from the person best placed to know. Read it against the claims on Photo 23 and Photo 3, and see N888KG.
