They confirm the aircraft exists, that its registration matches the tracking records, and that it is a mid-size business jet rather than anything exotic -- a Challenger 300 seats roughly eight to nine passengers.

That matters when weighing the claims attached to this tail number. The flight in question is documented as departing Provo about an hour after the shooting and losing ADS-B coverage mid-route. What the aircraft carried, and whether anyone boarded beyond a normal passenger complement, is unknown; there is no manifest in the public record and no evidence connecting any person to the flight.
