Students Posing With a Custom Drone

Photograph of four young men wearing green and white striped face masks holding a small custom built drone on a university lawn

What This Image Shows

A promotional-style photograph of four young men standing on a grassy lawn in front of a large modern university building under clear sky, holding a small custom-built drone between them. All four wear matching green and white striped face coverings.

This reads as a student team or club photograph -- the kind of image a university engineering or robotics group produces for a competition entry or a department page. It is filed with the drone research because establishing who on campus legitimately owned and flew small unmanned aircraft is a prerequisite for interpreting any sighting.

That is the whole of its evidentiary value, and the caution is worth stating. The individuals shown are unidentified here and are presumably students; nothing in this image connects them or their equipment to September 10, 2025, and nothing on this site suggests otherwise. Ruling ordinary campus drone activity in or out is exactly the work that has not been done publicly, which is why the sighting question stays open.

See UVU Security No Drones for the campus drone-policy question and Drones.
