Crowd Taking Cover Behind Barricades

Video editor screenshot of a low resolution frame showing a crowd crouching behind metal barricades outside a modern building

What This Image Shows

A frame captured inside a mobile video editor, the Cancel, Video, Adjust, Filters and Crop controls visible around the edges. The frame itself shows the moment after the shot: people crouching and taking cover on the ground behind metal barricades, in front of the modern campus building.

This is source footage rather than an argument. It is filed with the drone material because researchers reviewing the same clips for objects in the sky have also used these frames to time the crowd reaction against the audio -- the point at which people drop is one of the few unambiguous markers available in bystander video.

Read it for what it plainly shows: an immediate, uniform reaction across a wide section of the crowd. Reading anything further from a frame at this resolution -- direction of the sound, number of reports, who moved first -- is not something the image can support.

See Acoustics and Ballistics for the sound-direction analysis and Photos for the wider image record.
