Page three of four of the ATF laboratory report, headed DISPOSITION OF EVIDENCE. The body text records that laboratory-produced specimens, Exhibit 1.11, have been packaged with the submitted exhibits and that all items will be returned to the contributor once all laboratory examinations are completed.
Beneath that sit three signature blocks with cursive overlays and digital signature stamps: an Examiner signed by Samantha Karner, dated 2025.09.17 at 16:11:16; a Technical Reviewer signed by Sean Tokay, dated the same day at 16:23:17; and an Administrative Reviewer signed by Jennifer Owens, at 16:30:32. All three within twenty minutes of each other on September 17, 2025.
A page like this is easy to skip and worth keeping, because it is the chain-of-custody record: who examined the material, who reviewed the examination, and where the exhibits went afterwards. The handwritten case cards photographed elsewhere in this cluster carry the initials SK, matching the examiner named here. What happened to the fragment after it left the ATF, and the defense objections to the further testing proposed, are at ATF Fragment Inconclusive and Ballistics Sealed and CBLA.
