This is the cover page of the document whose findings are the backbone of the ballistics dispute — the report that examined the recovered rifle and the fragments taken at autopsy, and that returned an inconclusive comparison. The date matters: September 17, one week after the shooting, and well before the charging narrative had settled into its public form.
