This Google Trends screenshot tracks the search term Rusty Needs, filtered to the Washington DC (Hagerstown MD) market over a 90-day period. The line is flat at zero throughout, broken by one extremely sharp isolated spike that peaks at the maximum value of 100 on August 15, 2025, roughly four weeks before the assassination.

The name is one of seven the research deck says belonged to profiles connected with UVU's Center for National Security Studies, and which it claims were removed from public web pages in late September 2025, after the September 10, 2025 assassination of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. The deck lists a uvu.edu email address alongside this name and marks it as one of the campus-security rather than academic entries.

Google Trends normalizes every chart to a 0-100 scale, so a spike built from a handful of searches is drawn exactly the same as one built from thousands. The tool reports no searcher identity, no IP address, and no reason for a search. Common names collect unrelated traffic from unrelated people. A country or metro filter tells you where queries originated, not who made them or what they were looking for.

Note that this chart is filtered to a U.S. media market, not a foreign country. A spike in Washington, D.C. search interest is compatible with journalists, researchers, government staff, or anyone else in a dense metropolitan area looking a name up for any reason.
