About This Cluster​

Every image in this cluster is a Google Trends screenshot. Researchers took the names attached to UVU's national-security program — the campus body written on the source slides as the Center for National Security Studies (NCSS, sometimes typed NSCC) — and charted search interest in each name, filtered to Israel or to the Washington, D.C. media market. The names charted here are Mark Harlan, Michael Harlan (and a "Michael Harland" spelling), Dr. Elena Vasquez, Jamal Reid, Sarah Klein, Rusty Needs, and Jax Donovan. The underlying claim, recorded in the investigation notes, is that several UVU-linked profiles for these names came off the web in late September 2025, days after the September 10, 2025 assassination of Charlie Kirk, and that foreign search interest in them spiked beforehand.

The pattern researchers point to is the shape of the graphs: each chart is flat at zero for months and then shows one or two isolated vertical spikes to the maximum value of 100. The dates on those spikes are what the argument rests on — Mark Harlan peaks in Israel on September 9, 2025, the day before the shooting; Sarah Klein peaks on September 4, 2025; Rusty Needs peaks in the Washington, D.C. region on August 15, 2025; and Michael Harlan shows repeated D.C. spikes across late 2024 and 2025. Readers should weigh this carefully. Google Trends normalizes to a 0-100 scale, so a spike from a handful of searches looks identical to a spike from thousands, common names collect unrelated traffic, and nothing in a Trends chart identifies who searched or why. No person named on these charts has been accused of any offense, and no agency has confirmed that any of these individuals is connected to any intelligence service.
