CIA Thread Detail — Roles and Contact Data
What This Image Shows
The slide's left column is the deck's CIA thread. It reads "CIA is suspected linked to NSCC (or UVU Center for National Security Studies)" and states that seven profiles connected to that campus body "appear to have profiles removed" on September 28, roughly two weeks after the assassination. The seven names listed are Mark Harlan, Dr. Elena Vasquez, Jamal Reid, Rusty Needs, Sarah Klein, T Ramirez, and L Patel.
This is the most heavily annotated version of the CIA thread. It attaches claimed roles to the names: Mark Harlan is labeled "Counterintelligence Ethics Expert" with a LinkedIn URL, Dr. Elena Vasquez "national security policy wiz," Jamal Reid "track coach with security ties" with the alternate spelling "Jarmal Reid," Rusty Needs with a uvu.edu email address, T Ramirez "intelligence simulations analyst" marked "Low Confidence: Tina or Tony," and L Patel "Event planning coordinator" marked "Low Confidence: Lekha Patel."
The deck states its own limit in writing: "This doesn't mean these people did the assassination." That caveat should travel with every reproduction of this slide. A removed or updated web profile is not evidence of anything, universities revise staff pages constantly, and none of these individuals has been charged with or accused of any offense by any authority. Note how much of the slide is flagged by its own author as low confidence, including two of the seven names and two spellings. A job title on a campus web page is not an intelligence affiliation.
