That caption fragment is significant on its own. Multiple witnesses have said Kirk was speaking about gang violence at the moment he was hit, and the words surface in the broadcast captions of the earliest video. This frame is also the clearest available record of the transfer to the vehicle — who was carrying, in what formation, and toward which SUV.
