Google Trends — Two Regions, Two Judges

The researcher's argument is in the contrast between the panels. Utah interest spikes in late September and October 2025 — after the assassination, and around the case assignment, which is what ordinary news-driven search looks like. The Israel panel spikes in May and July 2025 — before the assassination, and around the appointment and the run-up to the swearing-in.
The limits are serious and have to be stated. Google Trends reports relative, normalized interest rather than counts; for names with almost no baseline traffic a very small number of queries can register as a peak. The May window is also when the appointment was announced and covered, which is an ordinary reason for interest anywhere.
