About This Cluster
A great deal of what the public believes about September 10, 2025 it learned from a meme rather than a document. Compressed images travel further and faster than court filings, and they carry an argument in a single line of type. This cluster archives that layer of the case — not as evidence of what happened, but as evidence of how the story was framed and circulated in the weeks and months afterwards, and of which framings took hold.
Two images sit at this level and they pull in opposite directions. One places portraits of Charlie Kirk and John F. Kennedy beside Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy under the line "YOU DON'T GET ASSASSINATED FOR LYING" — an argument by association that says nothing about the mechanism of any of those deaths but asserts a great deal about how the maker wants Kirk remembered. The other is a Tom Stiglich editorial cartoon showing a campus warning sign reading "CAUTION: RADICAL LEFT LUNATICS IN AREA," which belongs to the political blame contest that opened within hours of the shooting. Neither is evidence of anything factual; both are useful for understanding what the audience was being handed while the investigative record was still forming.
The two sub-areas below collect the sharper-edged material: 2 Kill Me, built around a quote attributed to Kirk about donors and the pro-Israel cause, and They Kill Me, built around a reported warning from a friend days before his death. For the sourced versions of those quotes and warnings see Reported Quotes and Warnings and Motive; for how the story moved through media and influencer channels see Media and Influencers.
