KSL Breaking News Frame of the Abandoned Table

KSL TV breaking news frame showing a blue-draped table and a long grey equipment case on grass with a yellow circle drawn on the case

What This Image Shows

A screen capture of a live KSL television breaking-news segment. The lower banner reads CHARLIE KIRK SHOT DURING UVU SPEAKING EVENT with KSLTV.COM beneath it, the reporter credit reads JASON BEHUNIN, and the BREAKING NEWS and LIVE flags are visible. The background image is a close, tilted shot of the event setup: a table under a dark blue cloth with faint dark splatter and a partly visible red and white graphic near the bottom, a long rigid light-grey equipment case lying on the grass, and folded or tipped-over chairs behind it. A bright yellow circle has been drawn over the right end of the equipment case. A picture-in-picture insert in the lower left shows a man in a red cap speaking outdoors.

The yellow circle is an annotation added after broadcast. The equipment case on the grass is a recurring object of interest because researchers have argued about what was staged in the tent area, what was removed, and what remained visible in the earliest live footage before the scene was controlled.

This is one of the earliest broadcast frames available from the scene, which is why it is preserved here. For what else the same live coverage captured, see After and The Tent. For the argument about equipment near the stage, see AV Team Mic Setup and Table Jumpers Device.
