Auto-Auction Photo of the Burnt Object as a Screenshot
What This Image Shows
A phone screenshot of the photograph the whole claim relies on: the image attributed to @michael_vina27, reportedly taken while the vehicle was at an auto auction, showing the burnt object on the dark upholstery. It is captured as a screenshot of a file named IMG_6641.jpg, visibly re-compressed, with a caption bar from an underlying video running across it.
This frame is where the provenance question lives. The chain runs from an original photograph, to a video that displayed it, to a phone screenshot of that video, to the annotated exhibits built on the screenshot. Each generation adds compression artifacts, and JPEG artifacts around high-contrast edges routinely produce shapes that read as structure. Pareidolia is the default risk in that situation, not an exotic one.
The auction-lot detail is separately notable: it implies the vehicle was photographed after being moved to a commercial lot, which bears on the chain-of-custody questions raised elsewhere about this vehicle. This is one of four images published by @ProjectConstitu on X on July 16, 2026, arguing that the burnt object left in the back of the SUV is not only melted shirt fabric and tissue but contains parts of the RODE wireless transmitter. The host page sets out the specific problems with the identification in detail: the circled regions are blurred past the point of component recognition, and the key evidence is a phone screenshot of a video frame of the original photograph, with each generation adding compression artifacts that can produce shapes reading as structure.
The claim is preserved as the poster made it, with attribution, and is not adopted here. No laboratory has examined this object and no official identification of it exists.
