About This Cluster

This sub-cluster documents the "pocket object" question: pre-event photos reportedly showing a small square item — matching the roughly two-inch profile of a RØDE Wireless GO II unit — in the pocket of a man photographed with Charlie Kirk before the event, identified by researchers as Butch Hibbs, brother of pastor Jack Hibbs. Posts on X have noted that after the shooting the pocket appears empty, and have paired that observation with a reported private flight from Heber City, Utah to Nashville on August 25, 2025 — the delivery date of an Accurate Energetic Systems munitions contract. These are researchers' questions, not findings; carrying a common microphone accessory establishes nothing, and no wrongdoing by any person shown here has been alleged in court or established anywhere.

The two images give the claim its visual basis. One is a close-up of a black RØDE Wireless GO II receiver clipped to the breast pocket of a plaid shirt, its "RØDE WIRELESS GO II" label legible. The other shows a smiling white-bearded man in a plaid shirt and white cap standing beside a man in the white "FREEDOM" t-shirt — the shirt Kirk wore on stage that day. Researchers use the pairing to argue the pocket object's dimensions match the mic unit; skeptics answer that a person near an AV-heavy event holding audio gear is unremarkable, and the original post making the comparison has reportedly been taken down.
