This is about a second after the previous frame. What it adds is the immediate surroundings: he is in a packed crowd with other attendees pressed close, not standing apart from it.

That is worth stating because isolation is what a crop can manufacture. Tight profile frames make a person look singled out; this wider one shows an ordinary attendee among other ordinary attendees at a campus event.
