This is the arrest itself, the moment the man reported to have been carrying an air rifle in downtown Provo, Utah goes into the car. The addresses circulating with this sequence include the area of 44 S 200 W, a point on Freedom Boulevard about fifty feet south of West Center Street, and the frontage of a restaurant at 201 W Center St.
The timing is what put this arrest into the investigation. It happened within roughly an hour of the shooting, while the search for the shooter was still open and while a separate man was in custody at the campus itself. Two detentions in two cities inside one hour is what researchers describe as the distraction pattern. That is a pattern claim, not a finding.
