Zinn Walked Away by Police — Composite
What This Image Shows
A side-by-side composite of two daylight photographs of the same removal. In both, the elderly man is walked along a concrete outdoor path by a police officer with a second person assisting. His trousers have fallen to his ankles as he is led forward. Onlookers and a utility vehicle are visible in the background of the left panel; a modern concrete facility fills the frame behind. The word POLICE is legible on uniforms in both panels.
The composite exists because it is the clearest documentation that this was a uniformed police detention rather than an informal removal by bystanders — a point that mattered when accounts of the first minutes at Utah Valley University began to conflict.
It also documents the condition of the man being led away, which is part of why several witnesses later described him as an unlikely suspect. One on-camera witness said of him, "I don't think he did it... they arrested the wrong guy," and described the person he expected instead.
