Escort Frame — Annotated Object Circle
What This Image Shows
A third annotated frame of the campus detention, posted to X. The man in green scrubs and a white lab coat is walked across a paved path by two escorts, with a third walking behind. A large red arrow points down at him. A red circle marks a long, curved object held by the escort on the left.
The posts sharing this frame argued the circled shape is a long gun. Replies pushed back that the outline is ambiguous at this resolution and could be a bag strap, a tool, or equipment. The image is preserved here as the artifact of that dispute, not as evidence that any weapon was present.
The reason the question matters is procedural. If a rifle had been recovered during a trespass arrest inside a homicide scene, researchers argue it should appear in the affidavit and should have produced a separate firearm charge under Utah law. Reports circulated afterward said the affidavit mentioned no gun. Whether that is because there was no gun or because the paperwork is incomplete is unresolved.
