What This Image Shows​

A wide, eye-level interior view of a cafe service counter. A polished stone counter runs across the frame with sneeze guards and display cases; behind it sit beverage dispensers, espresso equipment and snack baskets under three large chalkboard menus for breakfast, lunch and coffee. Floor-to-ceiling windows show a cold landscape outside.

This is a location reference, not proof of an event. It shows the Urban Pioneer Cafe, the name that appears in circulated police-radio traffic about a separate unidentified man who reportedly said there was an APB out on him for the shooting at UVU. The same radio traffic references "SMBB Break" — read by researchers as the Sorenson Molecular Biotechnology Building at the University of Utah, roughly a 43-minute drive north of Provo.

The ambiguity is the point. Urban Pioneer Cafe reportedly has both a UVU-campus location and a Salt Lake City location, so the radio call does not by itself fix where the man was. Researchers care because of what the same traffic reportedly says next — that officers were asked to stand by rather than interview.
