About This Cluster​

This small cluster maps where the pellet-gun man was arrested in downtown Provo, Utah shortly after Charlie Kirk was shot at Utah Valley University in Orem on September 10, 2025. The three screenshots — a Google Street View of the corner by Joe Vera's Mexican Restaurant, an overhead map of West Center Street, and driving routes from UVU to downtown Provo — let a reader place the arrest footage in the other pellet-gun images on real streets. Geography matters here because the arrest happened in a different city than the shooting.

Researchers use these maps to ask a timing question: bystander video shows Provo police detaining a man with an air rifle within roughly an hour of the shooting, several miles south of the UVU campus. The route screenshots show the drive between the two points, which frames the open question of whether this arrest could plausibly have involved the shooter or was, as posts at the time claimed, a separate incident that briefly dominated the narrative. The man was detained, searched, and not charged in connection with the assassination.
