Blake Bednarz — Douglas "Blake" Bednarz in the investigation file — is named because an online researcher claimed he was at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. He has not been charged with anything and no court has found he did anything wrong. The file records the claim, and it also records that he has publicly disputed the account of who was with him, which is why the material here is presented as an unresolved identification question rather than a conclusion.

The three images are the by-product of that identification work. One is a crowd photograph — roughly thirty spectators packed behind a curved metal railing on an elevated concrete platform, carrying a news caption and photo credit along the bottom edge — filed under the heading of a possible family group. The other two are portraits of named relatives on his wife's side: a smiling older man at a restaurant table, filed as Bryan Hayes, and a professional headshot posted as a Facebook profile picture on March 3, 2025, filed as Lynneve Hays. The investigation file suggests these two may be his mother-in-law and her husband, and that the resemblance between the woman in the crowd and the woman in the headshot is what prompted the comparison.
