Selfie in a Vehicle From Facebook
What This Image Shows
A mobile screenshot of a Facebook photo post. A man with fair skin, a sandy goatee, thin wire-framed glasses and a camouflage baseball cap sits in a vehicle looking at the camera. His black t-shirt carries a graphic print of the Bowser character above the words "DANGER AHEAD." A neighbouring seat shows an "SRS AIRBAG" tag, and an open Starbucks Doubleshot can sits in the console below.
The Facebook interface framing — name, date and reaction row — is what makes this a dated, sourced image rather than a loose photograph. That is what researchers want: a face attached to a timestamp.
Nothing in this frame relates to the events at Utah Valley University. It exists in the file because an online claim put a member of this extended family on campus that day, and researchers pulled public photographs to work out who was who. The claim is unverified and no wrongdoing by anyone pictured is alleged. See the cluster overview.
