About This Cluster​

This cluster sits at the junction of two separate identification efforts that ended up sharing a folder. The first is about the uniformed people who were physically on the plaza at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025 — campus police, contract security, and the plainclothes officers who moved in during the first minutes. The second is a military-personnel thread in which researchers have been comparing faces from public Army photographs against faces in event footage. Neither effort has produced a confirmed match, and nobody pictured has been charged with or accused of a crime in any court.

Five images carry that split. Two are from the plaza: a Utah Valley University police officer and a civilian in a Lightning McQueen t-shirt restraining an older man in a blue button-down who is bent forward mid-shout, and a close shot of a man in a black uniform polo with a silver star-shaped badge and a handheld radio, shouting mid-incident. Two are Army frames — an officer in Operational Camouflage Pattern walking an airfield sidewalk with a name tape that reads something like "BUSHMAN," and a senior officer speaking from a wooden lectern in a panelled hall. The fifth is a screenshot of a SuperGrok chat session in which a user has uploaded a photograph of a police officer and asked the assistant to identify him. That last frame is important context: some of the identifications circulating in this case were produced by asking a chatbot, and a chatbot's answer is not a source.

Read the plaza photographs as documentary and the identification attempts as unverified. The arrest scene in particular is the same incident that runs through the distraction-arrest material elsewhere in the file, and it deserves to be checked against the official record rather than against a crowd-sourced caption.
