About This Cluster
These three images are about the surveillance-camera dimension of the case rather than the shooting itself. One is a close, upward frame pulled from a video showing a dome camera mounted on a conduit pipe beside a ceiling vent. The third is a screenshot of an X post by @BasedSamParker documenting a denied GRAMA request to Utah Valley University for security-camera footage, with a threaded reply noting that an appeal would be filed.
Camera footage sits at the center of the official account. The charging documents describe investigators reviewing UVU surveillance cameras, first capturing the suspect walking at roughly 11:50 a.m. and later on a rooftop, and reporting connects that review to BriefCam, an Israeli video-analytics tool said to have been run on the campus feeds.
That is why the records-request image matters. GRAMA is Utah's public-records law, and released records already show UVU acknowledging that additional documents exist while declining to release them, according to the reporting. The open question these images frame is who holds the footage and on what basis access keeps being refused.
