The same interior photographed empty: a long run of study desks paired with green upholstered wooden armchairs against a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows, international flags hanging vertically from the concrete ceiling parallel to the glazing, and exposed yellow, red and green service pipes running overhead alongside linear light fittings.
An empty frame of an interior is the interior equivalent of an empty-plaza photograph, and it does the same job. With no people in it, the desk line, the sill height, the depth from glass to seating and the ceiling structure are all measurable — which is what allows a claim about what could be seen or done from behind that glass to be tested rather than argued.
