Two details are doing the work here. The scale of the response — thirty officers, dogs, a wooded area and a house — indicates that on the afternoon of the shooting law enforcement was searching a specific property adjacent to the campus, not simply casting about. And the timing, around 2pm, places that search roughly ninety minutes after Charlie Kirk was shot and well before the man later charged was in custody. Why that property, and what if anything was found there, has not been set out publicly.
Dylan Hope is the same witness quoted in the broadcast transcript elsewhere in this cluster describing a man in black who spoke to his crew immediately after the shot. Nothing in this excerpt states that anyone at that property was involved in anything.
