What This Image Shows​

A screen capture from Google Maps Street View of a concrete building face on the campus, taken well before the event. A red arrow has been added, pointing at a small object set inside a recessed rectangular alcove above a glass-doored entrance — a security camera or a light fitting; the resolution does not settle which. The mapping interface is still visible, with a minimap in the lower left and navigation controls at lower right.

The only readable on-screen text is partial: the words "ental" and "Building" from a Street View place label, and the "Google Maps" attribution along the bottom. The building name is cut off in the capture.

The file is kept under the name Vents, and the reason this frame was collected is the same reason the Gun Port sub-cluster exists: researchers walking the campus in Street View have catalogued the recesses, louvres and alcoves in these facades, asking both what could see the plaza and what could be concealed in it. A camera in this alcove would be a recording asset; the wider question of which campus cameras existed, worked, and were preserved runs through the Cameras section and the UVU HD Footage Withheld page.
