What This Image Shows
A two-panel composite. The left panel is a blurry, pixelated close-up of a pale grey concrete or tiled surface crossed by thin dark lines, with a small reddish-brown cylindrical object sitting on it. The argument, advanced publicly by @ProjectConstitu with @stevendenoon, is that the small object is an ejected cartridge case that came to rest on the courtyard surface at close range, and that a hinged corner-firing weapon would explain both a concealed firing position behind the canopy and a downward ejection.
Every load-bearing element of that reading is annotation. The object is small, out of focus and identified only by the caption beside it; the arrows are drawn; the weapon panel is a manufacturer image, not a photograph of anything at the scene. No such weapon has been recovered, no forensic examination has been published, and the claim is disputed.
