Discord Confession Message Screenshot

Dark-mode chat screenshot with a September 10, 2025 date divider above messages reading Charlie Kirk got shot, Dead, and I just saw the video, followed by a September 11, 2025 divider and a confession-style message from the account zealous monkey with its timestamp outlined in a red box

What This Image Shows

This screenshot is the single most quoted piece of evidence in the public version of the case. Against a dark chat background, a September 10, 2025 divider is followed by three timed entries — 3:17 p.m. reading that Charlie Kirk got shot, 3:44 p.m. reading Dead, and 4:40 p.m. reading that the writer had just seen the video and that the victim did not deserve to go out like that. A second divider marks September 11, 2025, below which sits the confession-style message attributed to the account zealous_monkey_55095, with its timestamp outlined in a red box by whoever prepared the image.

The red box is there because the time is the argument. Attorney Baron Coleman has argued from a defense-filed motion referencing a Bates-stamped video at a 6:25 p.m. timestamp that Tyler Robinson was already in custody and being read his rights on the evening of September 11, roughly ninety minutes before this message was posted, and that the booking sheet records an arrest at 10 p.m. that same evening. Investigation notes add that Washington County protocol is to take a suspect's phone once he is in custody and Mirandized. If that reading of the documents holds, the person who posted this was not the person in the interview room; if the state's timeline holds, it was. Neither version has been ruled on.

The earlier September 10 messages are worth reading on their own terms as well, since their tone is that of someone reacting to news rather than reporting an act.
