Enhanced Image of the Handwritten Note
What This Image Shows
A close-up, top-down image of the handwritten note on lined notebook paper, written in black ink in an uneven stylized print hand. It is addressed to a nickname and contains a statement about an intention to take out Charlie Kirk. The archived filename records that this version has been digitally enhanced.
This note is the first link in the state's public chain of confession evidence. The account is that it was left under a keyboard at the apartment Tyler Robinson shared with Lance Twiggs, and the transcript recovered from the roommate's phone opens with the roommate reacting to having read it. Everything downstream depends on it, which is why the form of the evidence is contested: the public has been shown photographs of the note rather than the note, released through media in stages, and a discovery filing reproduced at more refers separately to a photograph of a burnt note provided on January 9, 2026, which nobody has explained.
Enhancement is worth flagging on its own, because processing an image to improve legibility also risks changing what a reader thinks they see. Against all of it stands the fact that the defense holds the underlying material and is not publicly alleging fabrication.
