Character evidence cuts both ways in a case like this, and the people who knew Tyler Robinson before September 10, 2025 have described someone very different from the figure in the charging documents. That gap matters to the investigation not because a relative's opinion settles anything, but because the state's theory requires a motive and a trajectory, and the people closest to him say they never saw one. The image here is a screenshot of a news article carrying quotes attributed to Robinson's grandmother, Debbie Robinson. She is quoted rejecting reports that her grandson had mental health problems, calling him a very shy, good kid, and saying there is no way he could be violent and no way that he did that. She adds that she watched him grow up and cannot imagine it ever being him, and that she is not saying it only as his grandmother. These are her stated beliefs as published, offered here as testimony about how he was seen rather than as evidence about what happened, and they run against the state's account without disproving it.
