Two-Frame Stairwell Diptych
What This Image Shows
Two security stills of the same descent placed side by side — a wider three-quarter view on the left and a closer crop from the chest down on the right, both from a high angle over the concrete steps and metal railing.
The cropped panel is the working one. The affidavit describes a dark colored backpack and dark colored jeans, and describes white or gray shoes with white shoelaces appearing consistent with Chuck Taylor or Converse styles. A chest-down crop is what lets a reader assess pack volume and how it hangs, which is the pivot of the argument set out at Backpack and Rifle Impossibility — that the pack here reads as near full while the light blue JanSport carried from the campus parking lot that morning reads as roughly half empty, and that swapping shorts for jeans should have made it emptier.
Those are arguments from image interpretation, not measurements, and the state's account is a single person who changed clothes. No identification is asserted here. Compare with the four-frame composite in this cluster and the angles at Clothing, then read Stairs Guy.
