Lobby Camera: Man in a Red Shirt at a Counter
What This Image Shows
A high-angle lobby camera catches a young man in a red T-shirt, dark pants and a baseball cap standing at a counter, a small cup in his right hand, looking off to his left.
This is the frame behind the reported evening sighting. Investigation records note a CCTV sighting at a Dairy Queen in Orem at 6:38 p.m. on September 10, 2025, roughly six hours after the shooting, and the X post that circulated it describes the subject as calm and dressed in a maroon shirt, blue jeans, a hat and sunglasses. The charging timeline describes an apparent change back into the morning maroon attire after the shooting, so a red or maroon shirt in the evening is consistent with the official account and simultaneously raises the travel question — how a person seen in Orem at 6:38 p.m. reached Washington County, more than 250 miles south, before surrendering the following evening.
The identification is the claim of the commentator who released the still, and readers responding on X questioned its lighting. Copies of the same frame are filed in the parent cluster alongside the route maps. See Travel, Surrender and Timeline.
