What This Image Shows

Active groundwork running along the base of the Sorensen Student Center, under the building's overhang and glass upper floors. Working left to right:

  • A tracked skid-steer loader with its bucket raised, parked on the excavated surface at the left edge.
  • A worker screeding gravel with a long-handled rake or lute, pulling material toward the camera across the prepared sub-base.
  • A second worker standing further up the run, near the walkway.
  • A plate compactor sitting mid-frame on the graded material.
  • A surveyor laser level on a tripod set at the edge of the surviving lawn, with a yellow equipment case on the grass beside it.

A trench line runs along the grass margin on the right, and a windrow of loose aggregate sits along the left. The exposed ground extends the full length of the frame. An SPN watermark appears at lower right.
