Rooftop Vantage Over the Campus Courtyard

High-angle wide outdoor shot taken from a gravel roof looking across a campus plaza, lawns, an event area with banners, a pond with fountains and distant fields and roads

What This Image Shows

A wide shot taken from on top of a building. A textured grey gravel roof runs across the bottom of the frame; beyond it are the paved plaza, lawns, institutional buildings and the central gathering area with its promotional banners, then the pond with active fountains, athletic fields, a highway with moving traffic, housing and open water. Legible signage includes A PLACE FOR YOU, UVU and SORENSE, part of the Sorensen building name.

The gravel in the foreground is the point of the photograph. This is what the courtyard looks like from a roof - the same class of vantage the official account places the shot from, and the same class of vantage researchers keep asking about for the other buildings around the plaza.

What it shows plainly is that a rooftop position commands the whole courtyard with nothing in the way, and that several buildings offer that. Which roofs were checked, when, and by whom is a records question. See Roof, Losee Center and Campus Security Gaps.
