The argument, advanced publicly by @ProjectConstitu and @stevendenoon, is that a cartridge case visible in event footage was ejected at close range near the rear of the canopy, and that a hinged corner-firing weapon would account for both a concealed firing position and the ejection pattern. It is a hypothesis assembled from annotated stills and product imagery.

Nothing about it has been confirmed. No such weapon has been recovered, no forensic examination has been published, and the object in the left panel is small and out of focus, identified only by the label drawn beside it.
